📋 Description

• Execute audit test steps under the direction of senior team members • Examine and evaluate the adequacy of the Company’s internal control structure regarding reporting accuracy and completeness and adherence to Company policies, procedures, and standards • Perform defined audit procedures to test internal-control compliance • Coordinate audit activity and communicate status to the audit team • Document audit test procedures, results, and findings • Identify, assess, and report policy, procedure, standard, and guideline exceptions and internal-control weaknesses • Develop positive relationships with business units, corporate management, and audit team members • Conduct operational and compliance audits at landfill locations across the country • Focus on environmental compliance, regulatory requirements, and operational controls • Identify risks and improvement opportunities • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience • Relevant certifications preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications • Audit/accounting experience at Big 4 or Fortune 500 preferred • Knowledge of Diligent, Workiva, ACL, IDEA, or other data analytic software preferred • Candidates with a strong auditing background, particularly in finance or internal audit, are encouraged to apply • Travel by air, car or other modes of transportation may be required up to 50% of the time • Position is not sponsorship eligible
