• Provide prompt, courteous, and high-quality customer service to policyholders and claimants • Answer customer calls, file claims, and resolve customer requests • Gather information to initiate claims and explain policy, coverage, and appropriate action • Manage claim inventory and establish and adjust initial reserves for potential exposures • Coordinate vehicle repairs and assist with rental reimbursement • Identify subrogation, salvage, total loss, and recovery opportunities • Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures • Communicate with involved parties and negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys within approved authority • Contribute to claims guidelines, best practices, and process improvements • Oversee outside investigative service providers • Collaborate with clients, client counsel, product, engineering, and investigative services • Resolve rideshare auto physical damage claims involving drivers and third parties • Participate in learning opportunities concerning claims, court decisions, guidelines, and policy changes
• Bachelor's degree; lack of one should not stop applicants possessing the other qualifications • Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license • Must hold an active New York adjuster's license or be willing and able to obtain one • Minimum of 3 years of concentrated Ride Share APD claims adjusting experience • Experience with first-party comprehensive and collision claims • Experience with third-party property damage and bodily injury claims • Experience with total loss and liability investigations • Ride Share (or TNC/Livery) experience required • Willing to obtain all licenses within 60 days, including completing state-required testing • Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures • Commercial experience preferred • Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data and make sound decisions according to established guidelines, policies, and procedures • Curiosity and motivation for problem solving and questioning the status quo • Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development • Willingness to travel for client and claims needs
