📋 Description

• Provide prompt, courteous, high-quality customer service to policyholders and claimants • Respond to customer inquiries, initiate investigations, and resolve customer claims • Gather information to initiate claims and explain policy, coverage, and appropriate action • Manage claim inventory and establish and adjust initial reserves for potential exposures • Coordinate repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement • Identify subrogation, salvage, recovery, and total-loss opportunities • Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures • Communicate with involved parties and negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys within payment authority • Provide input on claims guidelines, best practices, and process improvements • Oversee outside investigative service providers and collaborate with clients, client counsel, and investigative services • Engage in learning opportunities related to personal lines claims, court decisions, guidelines, and policy changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; lack of one should not stop applicants who possess the other qualifications • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial cargo claims, ideally tractor trailer • Experience dealing with Third-Party PD/Total Loss • Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license • Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures • Commercial claims experience • Ability to analyze and evaluate claims data and make sound decisions according to established guidelines, policies, and procedures • Motivation for problem solving and questioning the status quo • Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development
