📋 Description

• Conduct detailed analysis and follow-up on outstanding commercial and government insurance claims • Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through billing corrections, appeals, and resubmissions • Prepare and submit EOBs, itemized statements, medical records, and other claim documentation • Respond to payer and patient inquiries regarding delinquent claims • Use payer portals, Electronic Health Records, and patient accounting systems to investigate claim status, post notes, and manage follow-up activities • Identify denial and payment-delay trends and contribute to process improvement initiatives • Maintain accurate account activity records and meet production and quality standards • Communicate with insurance representatives, patients, and internal departments to resolve outstanding issues • Prioritize daily workload in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Provide support on special projects and additional assignments as requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years of previous experience working with commercial or other third-party insurance claims, medical billing/follow-up • Understanding of various forms, CPT and ICD codes, insurance terminology, and insurance company remittance advice • Meditech experience preferred but not required • BCBS experience is a plus • Certificates, licenses, registrations, and/or Medicare certification are a plus, but not required
