• Handle high-volume outbound and inbound calls with professionalism and confidence • Negotiate payment arrangements that meet consumer needs and company goals • Meet and exceed quality, compliance, and collections performance metrics • Maintain accurate account notes and documentation in real time • Contact consumers regarding past-due medical balances and negotiate payment terms and methods within guidelines • Overcome common and challenging objections and suggest money sources for debt payment • Use scripts/verbatims and collection systems to maximize recovery on each call • Ensure compliance with FDCPA and state and other legal requirements • Handle inbound consumer calls while on the dialer and place outbound calls • Build trust through active listening, empathy, and strong communication • Learn and operate collection systems and programs proficiently • Complete company collector training and onboarding activities
• Must be a resident of Wisconsin, Kansas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, South Carolina, or North Carolina • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required • Clear verbal and written communication, proper grammar, and telephone etiquette • Ability to use provided electronic tools • Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and databases • Ability to multitask while communicating by phone and navigating multiple computer systems • Ability to overcome objections and negotiate successful payments • Reliable, responsible, punctual, and able to use time productively • Professional judgment • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal information and Protected Health Information (PHI) • Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages • Self-motivated and committed to career success • Willingness and ability to obtain Professional Collections Specialist (PCS) certification within one year of hire • Ability to successfully complete the company collector training program • Clear initial, ongoing, and annual identity, criminal, and background checks • Private home office for exclusive use, with company equipment secured from others • Ability to work a structured full-time daytime schedule without competing responsibilities
