📋 Description

• Provides leadership for the investment accounting function (GAAP and statutory) for the Company’s consolidated investment portfolio • Partners with the Investment Department and Finance leadership • Owns the strategy and execution of the investment accounting operating model • Builds, develops, and retains a high-performing team • Owns accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and annual close and reporting for invested assets • Leads investment accounting policy, interpretation, and application for complex transactions and instruments • Partners closely with the Chief Investment Officer and senior Investment leaders • Establishes and maintains an effective internal control environment over investments • Provides executive-level insights and materials on investment results • Directs cross-functional initiatives to improve process efficiency • Owns the investment accounting technology roadmap in partnership with IT and Investments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience • 12+ years accounting or auditing experience w/ at least 7 years of investment accounting experience • 10+ years management experience • 5+ years insurance/reinsurance or financial services accounting experience • CPA certification preferred • CFA preferred
