📋 Description

• Service and repair complex office equipment at customer locations within an assigned geographic area • Specialize in servicing and repairing a core set of highly complex office products • Manage territory, inventory, customer relationships, and call-handling procedures • Provide second-level technical support to other technicians • Achieve productivity expectations and drive revenue-generating opportunities through leads and assessments • Perform diagnostics, installation, removal, retrofits, troubleshooting, and component replacement on black-and-white, color, and multifunctional devices • Complete technical training on new equipment • Conduct on-the-job training and technical seminars for technicians • Serve as a role model and proactively identify improvements • Assume Field Technology Service Manager responsibilities as required • Work with sales partners to maximize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities • Maintain parts and car-stock inventories accurately • Complete administrative tasks and comply with company policies • Handle difficult customer situations and unresolved technical issues • Investigate and resolve equipment problems while maintaining customer satisfaction • Communicate with dispatch, parts, field service management, and external customers • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High level technical skills typically gained through completion of technical school and 3+ years of related experience • Minimum of 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I • 1 Industry Certification • At least 2 years meeting or exceeding performance level • Valid state driver's license • Minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for positions entailing extensive use of a personal car on company business • Excellent working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and electronics • Expert knowledge of assigned equipment • Methodical approach to resolving problems • Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications • Ability to move objects on wheels weighing up to 400 pounds • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds • Dexterity using hand tools and electronic testing equipment
