📋 Description

• Service and repair a variety of office equipment at customer locations within an assigned geographic area • Specialize in servicing and repairing a core set of highly complex office products • Manage territory, inventory, and customer relationships • Provide second-level technical support to other technicians • Achieve expected productivity levels for assigned workload and experience level • Drive revenue-generating opportunities through supply, contract sales, network support contract, equipment, and print assessment leads • Perform diagnostics, installation, removal, retrofits, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacement on B&W, color, and multifunctional devices • Complete technical training on new equipment • Conduct on-the-job training for new and experienced technicians • Conduct technical seminars • Assume Field Technology Service Manager responsibilities as required • Execute territory management and call-handling procedures • Collaborate with sales partners on equipment leads and upgrade opportunities • Maintain parts inventory and complete administrative tasks accurately and timely • Handle difficult customer situations and unresolved technical problems • Investigate and resolve equipment problems while ensuring customer satisfaction • Maintain professional relationships with company personnel and customers • Maintain a car-stock inventory • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High level technical skills typically gained through completion of technical school • 3+ years of related experience • Minimum of 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I • 1 Industry Certification • At least 2 years of meeting or exceeding performance level • Valid state driver's license • Minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for positions involving extensive use of a personal car on company business • Excellent working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and electronics • Expert knowledge of assigned equipment • Methodical approach to resolving problems • Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills • Excellent customer service skills and ability to follow up to ensure issue closure • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications • Ability to travel extensively by automobile or on foot in varied weather conditions • Ability to move wheeled objects weighing up to 400 pounds • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, lift, stoop, squat, and kneel • Ability to carry tool cases and service tools weighing 25 to 50 pounds • High dexterity and fine-motor skills using hand tools and electronic testing equipment • Ability to work shifts, overtime, standby, and/or on-call as required
