📋 Description

• investigating and analyzing residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters • gathering photographic evidence • conducting investigations to document on-site conditions • overseeing field-testing • preparing oral and written reports to document the causes of failure, extent of loss, associated repair scope, and remediation recommendations • providing opinions and expert testimony in litigated matters

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering • A master’s degree is preferred • 5 years’ minimum engineering experience working with residential, commercial, and/or industrial properties in a design or forensic consulting role • A PE license in New York is required • Experience in handling litigation and investigations is required • Knowledge of building codes, fundamental architectural and/or engineering principles, construction materials, assembly and installation, and industry practices is required
