📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable and reliable approaches to support or automate decision making throughout the business • Apply data science techniques and subject matter expertise to solve difficult business problems and ambiguous cases • Acquire data by building SQL/ETL queries and import processes for S3, RedShift, and Spark storage systems • Analyze data for trends and input validity, including distributions, bivariate relationships, transformations, and anomalies • Build statistical, mathematical, econometric, network, social network, NLP, machine learning, genetic algorithm, and neural network models • Validate models against alternative approaches, expected and observed outcomes, and business KPIs • Implement models meeting computational demand, accuracy, and reliability requirements across production ETL stages • Deploy state-of-the-art generative AI and machine learning algorithms, build prototypes, troubleshoot customer issues, and explore new solutions • Interact with customers and the academic community to drive innovation and deliver tailored data science solutions • Build stakeholder relationships and translate business needs into data science solutions • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, AI, and product teams • Communicate findings and model results to non-technical executive audiences • Establish data science best practices and modeling standards • Mentor junior and mid-level data scientists • Use Claude, Cursor, and other modern AI assistants to deliver high-quality work at pace

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of data scientist experience • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience OR Master's degree and 4 years of experience • 2+ years of hands-on experience with generative AI technology • 5+ years of experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed computing, high-performance computing, neural deep learning methods, and/or machine learning • 5+ years of hands-on Python experience building, training, and evaluating models • Customer-facing experience • Excellent communication skills with non-technical executive audiences and ability to translate complex models into actionable insights • Competency in SQL, Python, R, SAS, Matlab, or similar querying, scripting, statistical, or mathematical software • Experience with statistical models such as logistic regression and supervised learning • Expert day-to-day knowledge of AI-forward coding tools such as Claude and Cursor • Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment in ambiguous technical and business challenges • Advanced machine learning frameworks and cloud-based data science platforms are a plus • Healthcare data experience is a plus • AWS certifications are strongly preferred • Experience with generative AI applications on AWS using Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and Amazon SageMaker • Experience designing, deploying, and evaluating LLM-powered agents, tools, and orchestration approaches • Experience designing, developing, and optimizing prompts and templates for LLMs • Experience with Strands, LangChain, or LlamaIndex • Hands-on experience building cloud applications • Successful background check may be required
