📋 Description

• Lead collaboration among an interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services interventions for assigned patients and support systems • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions • Assess patients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and challenges • Develop individualized treatment plans and guide clinical interventions, including treatment team meetings • Provide counseling and support using evidence-based therapeutic techniques • Educate patients about mental health and/or substance use conditions, self-care strategies, treatment options, and aftercare plans • Document therapy sessions, patient progress, goals, and interventions within required time • Collaborate with internal and external professionals to coordinate care • Follow ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality • Report suspected physical or sexual abuse and/or neglect according to applicable law and policy • Provide patient and facility safety • Support staffing and scheduling changes as required by program and patient care needs • Lead clinical initiatives, projects, and activities supporting system-wide continuous improvement • Demonstrate compliance with Joint Commission, state, and other regulatory requirements • Complete preceptor training and support onboarding of new staff • Participate in interviews, precepting, education, and introductory evaluations for new staff • Facilitate interdisciplinary communication, lunch and learns, compassion resilience trainings, and shift-change updates • Engage in supervisory duties, including intern and staff supervision, documentation audits, and direct clinical observations • Maintain current knowledge of department processes, protocols, and procedures; pursue continuing education; participate in committees, task forces, and work groups • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, from an accredited school of Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care and at least two (2) years in a psychiatric setting, preferred • Full, independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in state practicing, i.e. LPCC, LMHC • If working in a program requiring substance use credentialing, a SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC is required in Wisconsin • A substance use specialty authorization applicable to the state hired in is required • Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior • Cross-train in minimum two (2) other programs and/or levels of care • Compliance with Residential Care Center (RCC) and Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) required for Residential Inpatient programs, preferred for all levels of care • American Heart Association CPR certification within thirty (30) days of hire; bi-annual re-certification required • Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within sixty (60) days of hire/transfer; annual re-certification required • Attend all mandatory in-services and other in-services relevant to the position • Be responsible for all educational requirements and related obligations pertaining to the license of the program/unit license regulatory requirements • For Residential programs, current and active driver's license in good standing is preferred for all levels of care • Required on-the-job training
