• Intake client work requests, clarify job instructions, and negotiate deadlines • Seek alternate solutions to deadline requests as needed • Prioritize work requests across the team and coordinate multiple projects • Serve as a definitive resource for document production, proofreading, and quality assurance questions • Identify and correct errors in complex business documents • Detect formatting and compositional errors and verify citation formatting • Check corrected proofs against markup for comparison and quality assurance • Monitor adherence to formatting standards and proofreading practices • Model professional expectations for client interactions, deadlines, and quality • Develop and deliver ongoing training for new and existing team members • Facilitate coordination across shifts to meet client quality, timeliness, and service expectations • Train junior staff as needed • Communicate job or deadline issues to managers and/or clients • Assist Lead, Supervisor, or Manager with administrative procedures and systems • Facilitate team adherence to company policies • Collaborate within and across teams • Recommend individual development goals, training, and performance expectations • Interact with clients in person, by phone, or electronically • Adhere to Williams Lea and client site policies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with years of experience able to substitute • Minimum of 3 years prior office experience, proofreading, word processing or document production experience • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite • Ability to technically troubleshoot applicable software specific to the business/client • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) certification desired • Advanced knowledge of document production and/or proofreading procedures and generally accepted practices • Extensive experience in business terminology, document production and/or proofing formats • Skill and efficiency in use of reference resources • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality • Ability to coordinate across the team and work on multiple projects simultaneously • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment • Good judgment and organizational skills with sound decision-making ability • Solutions-oriented approach with ability to ask for and follow directions • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Ability to communicate with team members, Lead, Supervisor, Manager and/or Client on job or deadline issues • Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner • Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information • Good problem-solving skills and ability to escalate problems appropriately • Ability to interact effectively with multifunctional and diverse backgrounds • Must be self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
