📋 Description

• Prepare complex PCB design layouts or revisions from verbal instructions, electrical inputs, existing hardware, or engineering lab models • Create highly complex circuit card assemblies incorporating Collins Aerospace best practices for fabrication, assembly, and testability • Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, and PWB fabrication vendors • Troubleshoot printed circuit designs, revisions, and CAD library models • Mentor and coach junior-level designers when able • Serve as a focal point for designs and provide CAD tool expertise to internal customers

🎯 Requirements

• AA/AS degree or other 2-year post-high-school training • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience • Certification may be required for technical support roles • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics Xpedition Designer, Layout and CES • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics HyperLynx Si/Pi/DRC • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics Valor • Proficiency in Downstream Technologies CAM350 and BluePrint • U.S. citizenship is required • Willingness and ability to work overtime as requested/required • Mentor Graphics EDM is a plus • Strong understanding of electronic hardware design • Functional knowledge of IPC standards for printed circuit and/or circuit card assembly design and acceptance criteria • Knowledge of Collins Aerospace Workmanship Standards is a plus • Demonstrated technical problem-solving aptitude • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Strong customer service orientation • Exceptional problem-solving skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize work • Ability to serve as the focal point for designs and provide CAD tool expertise to internal customers • Ability to follow through with assignments and support management policies and procedures • Ability to continually learn new technologies and processes • Passion for accuracy and customer service
