📋 Description

• Perform technical management and prepare and conduct design reviews • Analyze and derive requirements, predict performance, allocate system-level requirements, and manage requirements • Help manage technical performance for program teams and small teams of 5–10 • Plan and lead incremental development of upgrades and system improvements • Support cost and technical performance management for medium to large program teams or large subcontractors • Prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, staffing requirements, schedules, and resource plans • Support and motivate teams to deliver customer milestones and program deliverables • Interface with management, suppliers, customers, and technical design teams • Communicate effectively with management and customers • Perform engineering activities for design, development, procurement, and testing • Provide technical and functional leadership for components, projects, teams, and tasks • Lead technology development programs through the Technology Readiness Level process • Adhere to FACE and DO/178 technical standards • Lead system development teams in creating models, requirements, software, and designs • Lead systems engineering execution and troubleshooting for complex embedded software, hardware, LRUs, and system-of-systems environments • Manage technical risks and execute mitigation plans • Establish relationships with customers, support staff, and suppliers • Mentor and develop junior engineers • Travel domestically up to 20% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience • Experience with systems engineering leadership in an agile environment • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1 • Strong understanding of end-to-end systems architecture governance and design principles preferred • Expertise in systems engineering and open systems architectures preferred • Experience with operations concept development, system and product design, model and requirements management, technical risk management, and interface definition and control preferred • Experience with aircraft-level system integration preferred • Experience developing integration and test plans, test cases, and procedures preferred • Experience with automated test tools or scripting preferred • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as MagicDraw CAMEO, Rhapsody, and Enterprise Architect preferred • Technical proposal writing, Make/Buy decision-making, and trade study experience preferred • Ability to work effectively with and communicate with management and individual contributors preferred
