📋 Description

• Support Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture across transportation operations • Collect data and perform statistical analysis • Map and document processes • Identify process gaps and recommend and implement process improvements • Develop and manage continuous improvement and transformation plans • Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development metrics • Manage and complete continuous improvement and steady-state engineering projects • Assess continuous improvement initiatives and recommend future activities • Support go-live and steady-state certifications • Identify and support automation projects • Interact regularly with operations management and customers • Apply engineering methods, Lean tools, quality standards, product slotting, time studies, flow optimization, data profiling, analysis, and resource modeling • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events through planning, delivery, follow-up, and sustainment • Coach employees and process owners on continuous improvement and Lean principles • Provide regular reports measuring progress against site objectives • Make Supply Chain strategy recommendations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field • 5 years or more of related work experience in the Transportation or Supply Chain Industry • Transportation experience in Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, or LTL • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills, with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Intermediate data visualization skills using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools • Intermediate database programming skills using SQL, DAX, or similar tools • Experience with Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization • Intermediate understanding and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics • Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks • Knowledge of equipment types including dry van, temperature control, flat bed, and specialized equipment • Preferred experience with JDA, Appian, Llamasoft/Optilogic, OTM, Tableau/Power BI, and lean methodology • Preferred Supply Chain Logistics Certification • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to present project outcomes clearly to internal and external customers • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels • Flexibility, self-direction, multitasking, organization, and time management skills • System and change implementation skills • Ability to work independently and as a leader or team member • Ability to manage cross-functional continuous improvement projects from beginning to sustained results
