📋 Description

• Oversee end-to-end management of network cabling projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation • Collaborate with IT departments, engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to define project scope and requirements • Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables • Travel to various domestic communities • Lead network cabling layout design and implementation according to TIA/EIA-568 and ANSI/BICSI standards • Conduct site surveys and recommend optimal cabling designs • Manage installation, termination, and testing of Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber-optic cabling • Coordinate on-site cabling technicians and subcontractors • Provide training, guidance, and support on cabling installation and troubleshooting • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, local codes, and safety regulations • Oversee testing and certification of completed cabling systems • Identify and resolve installation issues and obstacles • Manage post-installation cabling problems and service requests • Procure materials, tools, and equipment with third-party vendors and suppliers • Maintain client relationships, provide project updates, and address scope changes • Maintain project records, design diagrams, work orders, and change orders • Prepare project progress reports and keep documentation current

🎯 Requirements

• Willingness to travel and perform cabling work over 75% of the time • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience • Minimum of 2 years of experience in network cabling, infrastructure design, or a related field • Experience managing and overseeing network cabling installation projects, including team leadership • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in construction sites, server rooms, and various environments • Comfort with climbing ladders, lifting materials, and performing site inspections • On-call support required • Preferred: experience with fiber-optic cabling and installations • Preferred: knowledge of network infrastructure planning and design, including switches, routers, and servers • Preferred: familiarity with cable management systems and troubleshooting tools • Preferred: proficiency reading and interpreting architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
