📋 Description

• Join SAIC’s Controller Training Solutions team on the traveling Datacom Team • Support air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration • Play the role of pilots and other controllers in an air traffic control training simulator • Operate simulated radar displays and voice communication systems during medium- and high-fidelity training exercises • Receive voice commands from students • Input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions • Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology • Respond to students through the voice communication system using proper phraseology • Complete classroom certification by passing a test on airspace and procedures • Complete lab certification by performing as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) • Basic computer proficiency • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals • Ability to speak clearly and be understood • US citizenship • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team is desired • Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON or En Route simulation lab is strongly desired, but not required • Effective oral and written communications skills • Working knowledge of FAAO JO 7110.65 is strongly desired, but not required • Effective team building skills • MS Office Suite proficiency, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Basic familiarity with current technology tools, including tablets, notebooks, and applications • Basic familiarity or experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology
