📋 Description

• Manage the fire protection scope on high-profile hyperscale data center, mission critical, federal, and industrial projects • Coordinate with other design staff on technical deliverables • Implement state-of-the-art fire protection designs for varied projects • Perform engineering calculations and analysis using available software • Assist in producing 3D fire protection designs using Autodesk Revit • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and fire protection design staff • Navigate and prioritize tasks across complex delivery schedules and overlapping projects • Collaborate with internal and external team members • Support the Nashville, TN office and projects located around the country

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in design, consulting, or construction • Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, engineering technology, or similar ABET-accredited program • Experience with fire protection design principles for building construction • Experience applying NFPA, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs), and building codes/standards including IBC and SBC • Proficiency in fire protection design • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit • Understanding of BIM workflows for fire protection engineering and design • Ability to provide technical guidance to junior engineers and fire protection design staff • Strong written and oral communication skills • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills • Ability to prioritize tasks across complex and overlapping project schedules • Willingness to travel less than 20% • Registered Professional Engineering license is not required
