📋 Description

• Support the continued growth of the Consulting group in gas generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage, and utility planning/advisory practice areas • Participate in owner’s engineer engagements for utility-scale power generation projects • Prepare and/or review EPC RFP packages and technical specifications • Evaluate EPC proposals to assist selection of preferred EPC contractors • Provide technical support during EPC contract negotiations • Prepare or review specifications for main power transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment • Review and provide technical commentary on EPC contractor electrical engineering design drawing packages and supporting calculations • Work on simple- and combined-cycle electrical system design packages • Work on renewable low-voltage DC and AC systems • Work on AC collection systems for solar and batteries • Work on collector substations and interconnecting substation expansions • Work on gen-tie transmission projects • Participate in face-to-face interactions with power plant developers, owners, lenders, and investors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design of utility-scale power/storage projects • Experience in power projects as part of EPC team or Owner’s Engineer is a plus • Auxiliary power system design experience • Thermal power generation experience, preferably gas-fired combined cycle, is a plus • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others • Must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employees for U.S. work authorization
