📋 Description

• Develop mechanical general arrangement, piping isometric, pipe support, and mechanical equipment layout drawings in a 3-D model • Generate mechanical design deliverables, BOMs, and commodity lists using Hexagon’s SmartPlant S3D modeling software and SPF database • Interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams developed using SPID and create physical designs consistent with engineering requirements • Lead coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated mechanical design model • Resolve clashes and discrepancies in the 3D model and report status • Coordinate and guide designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely design • Independently plan and execute mechanical deliverables • Mentor less experienced drafters and designers • Work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams under the direction of the Mechanical Project Lead

🎯 Requirements

• No U.S. work authorization sponsorship • Minimum three years of detailed design experience developing mechanical plant design drawings, including piping, pipe supports, and equipment layout • Experience with SmartPlant S3D modeling software • Understanding of integration aspects of SPID, SPF, and S3D • Experience resolving clashes and performing discrepancy checks between deliverables • Ability to interface with SmartPlant Administrators on mechanical deliverable templates and catalogs • Experience with Drawing Presentation Rules Set Up • Plant model data management experience • Proficiency with design software tools for executing 3D plant layout models • Experience reviewing project deliverables and drawing requirements • Experience reviewing vendor drawings and interface points • Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the plant design process • Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD (valued but not required) • Microsoft Office tools experience (valued but not required)
