📋 Description

• Provide development support, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services to clients • Perform technical evaluations of electric power generation projects and facilities • Support project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contract development • Conduct engineering design reviews • Perform technical due diligence • Support project development and conceptual design for thermal power projects • Travel within the United States and internationally as needed • Lead others in taking engineering problems from issue to solution • Set expectations for using data and modern tools such as automation and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs • Direct automation and process-improvement work, including automating calculations, summarizing technical documents, and generating design documentation • Guide when and how AI or agentic AI tools are used while ensuring results are checked • Oversee engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel to automate engineering tasks and review automated outputs

🎯 Requirements

• BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program • Strong academic background • 5 or more years of experience in the electric power industry • Experience in detailed design of the mechanical systems of thermal power projects • Experience in development support and conceptual design of thermal power projects • Excellent technical communication and writing skills • Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. • Experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews of thermal power projects is valued but not required • General understanding of power station operations and performance reviews is valued but not required • General understanding of process design at electric power generation facilities is valued but not required • Economic, cost analysis, and contract development experience is valued but not required • Familiarity with international design codes and standards is preferred • Willingness or ability to lead others using data, automation, and AI tools • Effective oversight of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows • Experience overseeing Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel automation is valued but not required • Additional learning such as a minor, certificate, or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is valued
