📋 Description

• Provide development support, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services for electric power projects • Perform technical evaluations of electric power generation projects and facilities • Develop solutions to meet project management needs and client requirements • Conduct engineering design reviews and technical due diligence • Support project development and conceptual design • Support project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contract development • Coordinate with project management on project financials, schedule status, risks and mitigation plans, contract backlogs, project status, and staffing plans • Provide high-level coordination, administrative, and analytical support to the project team • Attend internal and client project meetings at the Project Manager’s discretion • Assist with scheduling deadlines and maintaining project deliverable schedules across multiple projects • Lead others in applying data, automation, and AI to improve engineering workflows and reduce rework • Direct automation and process-improvement work, including automating calculations, summarizing technical documents, and generating design documentation • Guide when and how AI or agentic AI tools are used while ensuring results are checked • Oversee engineers who program or script automation tools and review automated outputs • Travel within the United States and internationally

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program • Acceptable disciplines include electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering • 7 or more years of independent engineering experience for power projects and/or experience in development of power projects • Experience with multiple power generation technologies, including thermal and renewables • Ability to organize and prioritize work and work under pressure to meet deadlines • Working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially advanced MS Excel for detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels • No U.S. work authorization sponsorship • Experience writing technical reports and proposals • Project planning and leadership skills • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is valued but not required • Experience with owner’s engineering activities during power project execution is valued but not required • Experience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus • Willingness or ability to lead others using automation and AI tools • Ability to oversee engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is valued but not required • Additional learning such as a minor, certificate, or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is valued
