📋 Description

• Provide technical consulting and advisory services to power project developers for utility-scale solar, wind, gas, battery energy storage, and other projects • Provide independent engineering and due diligence services for lenders and investors evaluating financing of power and infrastructure projects • Conduct technical, economic, and market studies for grid operators, utilities, and research agencies • Perform planning studies and business case development for utilities, independent power producers, and government agencies • Work on project teams within the Consulting group • Interact face-to-face with power plant developers and owners, lenders, and investors during consulting services work • Support the growth of renewable energy, battery energy storage, and utility planning/advisory practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering; other engineering disciplines may be considered • 12 or more years of experience in the power industry • Experience in one or more of: design of utility-scale solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage projects; independent engineering and due diligence services for power projects; power project development; solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage construction management • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Experience writing technical reports and proposals • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others • Project planning and leadership skills • Must be authorized to work in the United States; Sargent & Lundy does not sponsor work authorization • Experience with project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus • Experience with owner's engineering activities during power project execution is a plus • Master's degree in engineering or business is a plus
