📋 Description

• Prepare or review calculations, evaluations, and technical reports supporting client recommendations and reviews • Conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluations, and equipment selection in response to client needs • Support clients and project teams with mechanical engineering activities • Participate in system engineering, including design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant mechanical systems • Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status • Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates • Mentor junior engineering staff on power plant engineering technical tasks • Potentially travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for meetings and field verification • Lead or oversee automation and process-improvement work involving engineering calculations, technical documents, and design documentation • Review automated outputs from engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel

🎯 Requirements

• BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program • Strong academic background and interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the nuclear power industry • Excellent technical report writing skills • Knowledge of the practical application of mechanical engineering and technology to project design • Strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants • Proficiency with MS Office applications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must not require U.S. work authorization sponsorship • MSME from an ABET-accredited program is valued but not required • PE License is valued but not required • Willingness or ability to lead others using automation and AI tools • Additional learning in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is valued
