📋 Description

• Lead structural design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design teams • Produce engineering calculations and analyses, design drawings, specifications, and engineering reports • Ensure calculations and deliverables are technically sound and meet project requirements • Apply civil/structural engineering expertise to design and qualify structures, systems, and components • Produce procurement specifications and construction specifications for structural sections • Monitor assigned staff on technical matters related to project assignments • Maintain assigned tasks within project schedules and budgets • Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns • Mentor junior engineers • Use technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and other digital tools where appropriate to support engineering, design, analysis, research, or workflow improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify • Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance • BSSE or MSSE degree or similar from an ABET-accredited program • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in structural engineering • Experience producing engineering designs for foundations, structures, and support structures • Experience with ACI, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC • Experience preparing design drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and construction, fabrication, and procurement specifications • Requires periodic travel to project locations for client meetings, walk-downs, and presentations • Professional Engineer License (PE) valued but not required • DOE experience, commercial or Navy experience, and field engineering and construction experience valued but not required
