📋 Description

• Support Sartorius customers with Ambr system installations and commissioning • Perform calibration, preventative maintenance and break-fix repairs across a range of systems • Maintain fault-finding data and provide product performance feedback to customers and internal groups • Acquire in-depth product knowledge and pursue self-improvement • Perform in-house service activities in the Delaware office as needed • Follow service procedures and keep customer information and product software/configuration accurate and up to date • Keep accurate records of time, expenses and work performed • Make independent field-equipment repair decisions based on service-level agreements and customer support contracts • Collaborate with Product Support Engineers, Customer Support Engineers and Hardware Resource Coordinators to escalate unresolved system issues • Travel up to approximately 80%, primarily within an assigned territory • Train customers in product use, maintenance and best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent military or trade school certificates in electronics/electrical technology • Formal training in mechanical/electrical hardware set-up and configuration, or field/building services engineering experience in lieu of formal qualification • 2+ years’ experience in a commissioning/test or field service/support environment within a high-tech engineering/manufacturing company, ideally on capital equipment • Valid driver's license and passport or ability to obtain one • Experience with electrical, mechanical and I/O fault-finding at system and component level • Understanding of automatic mechanisms and associated electrical control systems • Competence measuring AC/DC voltages • Hands-on experience with robotics, motors, conveyor systems, input/output modules, optical readers, pneumatics and electromechanical assemblies • Effective communication and relationship-building with team members and customers • Understanding of mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics • Proven problem-solving skills • Ability to train and manage customers in product use • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office • Experience installing software and firmware updates/testing • Experience calibrating control systems, such as temperature and/or volume • Experience configuring PCs and installing Windows OS software packages • Knowledge of clean room protocols, drug discovery, process development, cell culture technologies and GMP environments advantageous • Understanding of Mammalian and Microbial cell cultures a plus • Bioreactor experience a plus • Experience with automation/robotics, automated systems, or automated equipment in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology a plus • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 accreditation requirements and GMP/GDP a plus • Ability to determine documentation, tools and equipment needed for a job • Critical thinking skills • Identification with Sartorius core values: Sustainability, Openness, Enjoyment
