📋 Description

• Support active industrial design projects from concept development through design refinement • Become familiar with existing project briefs, schedules, design decisions, and open action items • Create sketches, renderings, CAD models, presentation materials, and prototypes • Refine product form, ergonomics, usability, materials, colors, finishes, and details • Prepare and maintain ID CAD, CMF plans, rating labels, and other ID documentation • Review prototypes and samples and support usability and design validation • Translate feedback and test findings into practical design improvements • Collaborate with product management, development, packaging, marketing, and operations teams • Participate in weekly design reviews and communicate recommendations, risks, and decisions • Track design deliverables, decisions, and follow-up items • Ensure products remain consistent with Satechi’s visual identity and quality standards • Provide project documentation and an organized handoff at the end of the assignment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field • Approximately 2–4 years of professional industrial design experience • Strong portfolio demonstrating product development from early concepts through manufactured products • Proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software • Proficiency in KeyShot and Adobe Creative Suite • Experience creating physical prototypes and working with 3D printing technologies • Working knowledge of plastics, metals, CNC machining, injection molding, extrusion, and surface finishes • Ability to interpret engineering constraints and balance aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability • Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines • Collaborative, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to provide and receive constructive feedback • Experience designing consumer technology products or accessories preferred • Experience collaborating directly with overseas manufacturers and suppliers preferred • Familiarity with design for manufacturing, tolerance considerations, CMF development, and production sample review preferred • Experience entering an established design system and supporting projects already underway preferred • Candidates must submit a resume and portfolio demonstrating relevant industrial design work and their specific contribution to each featured project
