📋 Description

• Translate roadmap items and product definitions into epics sized for Data Science and Platform Engineering sprint planning • Draft epics independently and iterate with technical leads before board placement • Own epic structure, acceptance criteria, sequencing, and dependencies while leaving implementation detail to technical leads • Maintain a Ready-to-Execute standard for epics • Track active work across DP&A, DS, and PE boards and provide visibility into in-flight, blocked, or at-risk work • Identify sequencing conflicts and cross-team dependencies before they become sprint blockers • Own the Jira process and sprint cadence for the Data Products & Analytics team • Facilitate planning, review, and retrospective ceremonies as decision-oriented sessions • Manage the backlog so Jira reflects actual team priorities • Set epic and process quality standards across Data Products & Analytics without direct reporting authority • Sequence work and flag cross-team dependencies and program risks • Report to the Senior Director, Data Products & Analytics • Collaborate with Data Products leadership, Platform Engineering leads, Data Science/ML leads, Jira tooling vendors, and external engineering and development teams as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • 7+ years in program or project management within a data or software delivery context • Deep hands-on ownership; people-management experience not required • Program management depth, including knowledge of what makes an epic usable • Technical grounding sufficient to draft an epic a senior engineer can work from • Cross-functional operating skills across teams without direct authority • Jira fluency as a process designer, including board structure, epic standards, and backlog management • Strong written communication • Ability to influence without authority and uphold quality standards • Agile/Scrum or PMP certification is a plus • Experience designing processes across multiple teams is desired • Exposure to data, analytics, or ML delivery environments is desired • Ability to meet applicable gaming, licensing, background investigation, security check, legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements • Consent to a due diligence/background investigation as a prerequisite to employment, to the extent permitted by law
