📋 Description

• Manage a team of Backend, Frontend, and applied AI and automation engineers • Own the technical vision for SeatGeek’s core support tools and integrations • Rapidly build and iterate tools to improve fan experience • Maintain operational excellence across the platform • Perform code and architecture reviews and provide technical and design feedback • Provide performance feedback, conduct one-on-ones, and support direct reports’ career development • Partner with Technical and Product counterparts to define team vision and direction aligned with organizational and business goals • Select technology vendors and make build-or-buy decisions with the team • Deliver features and iterate across the platform when needed • Communicate technical and product decisions, resolve blocking issues, and collaborate with organizational leaders • Participate actively in recruiting and help grow the engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as an engineer in a role that was mostly about writing code • 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager of productive, motivated teams • Proven track record leading teams to ship industry-leading UX that meaningfully elevates high-stakes customer experiences • Preferred: contributed to end-to-end customer support experience software at a marketplace product organization • Successfully built and led lean teams • Ability to foster safe, collaborative, and inclusive environments • Comfortable operating without a playbook, defining architecture, team ways of working, and roadmap simultaneously • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences • Knowledge of the technology industry and customer support tools and workflows • Ability to lead through context-setting, collaboration, and cross-functional buy-in • Prior experience as an engineer • Preferred hands-on experience with custom tools that increase support agent efficiency • Preferred hands-on experience with AI agent optimization • Core engineering skills and ability to learn; experience with every listed technology is not expected • Experience with technologies including Python (FastAPI), Go, C# (.NET Core), React, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Gitlab, Aurora/Postgres, ElastiCache/Memcached, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, Temporal, Workato, Zendesk, Sierra, Claude Code, Codex, and LLMs
