📋 Description

• Analyze and process complex or technically difficult personal and commercial line property claims up to $100,000 • Scope damages and complete an estimate or obtain a contractor's estimate for review • Process complex commercial and personal line property claims • Ensure claim files are properly documented and coded correctly • Manage the litigation process on litigated claims • Coordinate vendor management, including independent adjusters assisting claim investigations • Report large claims to excess carriers • Develop and maintain action plans to meet state-required contact deadlines and move files toward prompt, appropriate resolution • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities • Secure and dispose of salvage • Communicate claim action and processing with insureds, clients, and agents or brokers when appropriate • Support the organization's quality programs • Perform other duties as assigned • Travel as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred • Licenses as required • Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Knowledge of construction basics • Property estimating software experience • In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial lines property policies, coverages, principles, and laws • Knowledge of appropriate application of deductibles and sub-limits • Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products • Strong organizational skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Good negotiation skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines • Ability to travel as required
