📋 Description

• Exercise independent discretion in handling complex and/or high-exposure commercial liability claims and commercial litigation • Conduct investigations and evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage, liability, and resolution strategies • Handle or assist in handling litigated claims as directed • Make recommendations regarding litigation as appropriate • Respond to complaints and inquiries and resolve issues • Select and direct outside experts and vendors • Train and mentor less experienced staff • Complete required training • Follow other job-related instructions and perform additional duties requested by the supervisor or necessitated by the role

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • Five years' previous claims handling experience or equivalent experience in the legal field required • Appropriate license as required by state • Successful candidate must have or obtain the KY, NC, and WV adjuster licenses within the permitted time • Valid driver's license and good driving record required • Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) • Ability to move over 50 lbs using lifting aide equipment • Travel for training may be required • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred • Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred • Commercial, Property, Casualty, Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred
