• Conduct Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Integrated Mental Health Assessments based on individual need • Interview clients and provide initial treatment recommendations using agency guidelines and requirements and appropriate screening/testing tools • Conduct assessments via telehealth using DSM 5 and ASAM • Relay assessment results, including treatment recommendations, to clients upon completion • Complete documentation for each assessment within defined time constraints and in compliance with state or federal guidelines • Attend required Set Free meetings via teleconferencing or in person • Complete additional reports and requests from the management team as needed
• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field • Ability to complete State-approved continuing education units as a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) within six months of employment • 60 hours stated as part of the qualification requirement • Experience in substance abuse and diagnosing substance abuse disorders • Ability to pass a drug screening • Ability to pass a State of Alaska background check • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills • Punctuality and consistency in reporting to work and delivering direct services • Ability to be a team player, demonstrate motivation, exercise discretion, and be dependable • Ability to build rapport with clients and staff • Ability to work well in a remote setting • Ability to maintain confidentiality, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and maintain clear therapeutic boundaries • Proficient computer skills, including fluid use of electronic communication tools
