📋 Description

• Provide patient care under the physician's direction • Prepare patients for examinations and assist during treatments • Coordinate tests and follow-up care • Record treatment in the medical record • Explain patient instructions to patients and families • Enter patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system • Prepare and administer medications, vaccinations, and immunizations as directed by a physician or other licensed provider • Answer phones, take messages, and assist with triage • Perform front office registration, laboratory testing, and radiology functions within a specialty setting • Participate in orientation and complete pre- and post-tests • Complete the yearly competency test required for Sharecare clinicians • Perform other related duties as necessary

🎯 Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant license appropriate for the state in which the Business Unit is located • Ability to obtain licensure in other states, as required by state law or contract • Must have received the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire • Minimum 6 months experience preferred • Ability to serve patients of all ages, including neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations • Ability to use electronic medical records (EMR) systems • Ability to prepare and administer medications and injections, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • Ability to engage positively with patients and families and work as a team with staff and providers
