📋 Description

• Enter patient information accurately into the company software program • Access various electronic medical records systems • Provide high-quality customer service • Safeguard patient privacy and ensure only authorized individuals access medical information • Ensure releases of information comply with requests, authorizations, company policy, and HIPAA regulations • Maintain patient, employee, and volunteer information privacy on a need-to-know basis • Report unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior or activity • Discuss process questions, recommendations, and observed variations to support standardized work and services • Understand how individual work affects organizational goals and data and information integrity

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in a medical records office environment helpful but not required; training provided • General working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required • Ability to type 50+ words per minute • Focus on high-quality work • Self-motivated • Team player • Excellent organizational skills • Extremely reliable • Detail-oriented • Ability to sit or stand for long periods • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. of materials • Manual dexterity and strength sufficient to use a computer keyboard for long periods, write notes, and handle paperwork and supplies • Eyesight sufficient to read documents and view computer-monitor information accurately • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively • Eye/hand coordination, hearing, and visual acuity necessary for day-to-day tasks • High-level understanding of the organization’s information governance program and role-specific accountabilities • Thorough understanding of role requirements, including policies, procedures, and processes • Participation in required corporate compliance and role-specific education • Maintain current and yearly HIPAA certification • Comply with corporate integrity and security regulations
