• Perform credentialing, re-credentialing, primary source verification, and ongoing monitoring of providers affiliated with Sharp HealthCare • Maintain timely, complete, and accurate electronic credentialing files for assigned providers • Analyze applications for completeness and required documentation; follow up on missing data and adverse elements • Examine verification results against applications and curricula vitae; investigate discrepancies and misstatements through resolution • Maintain current credentials in the credentialing database and track application status • Respond to internal and external customers by email and phone while providing effective communication and customer service • Meet established procedures and key performance indicators • Identify and initiate continuous quality and process improvements • Participate in huddles, meetings, performance improvement, initiatives, automation, and credentialing training • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards, state and federal regulations, policies, and bylaws • Develop and adhere to reliable departmental processes, policies, and procedures • Troubleshoot issues and resolve barriers using available resources
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent • 3 Years experience in hospital and/or healthcare credentialing • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred) • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification (preferred) • Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification (preferred) • Database management proficiency required • Data entry skills required • Strong computational and data analytical skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Independent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills • High level of confidentiality and data integrity • Ability to independently manage workflow, set priorities, and develop goals and strategies
