📋 Description

• Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals • Assist patients with pharmacy insurance claims • Support prior authorization requests and medication access with clinician offices • Research and secure financial assistance through foundations, manufacturers, and other funding sources • Navigate pharmacy operating systems to input data, adjudicate test claims, process refills, and develop follow-up action plans • Review prescriptions with physicians' offices • Support medication adherence and compliance through phone communication with patients • Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons • Document patient concerns, prior authorization status, and financial assistance needs across databases, EMRs, and email systems • Maintain accurate patient communication records and update database information • Research and analyze information for strategic decision-making • Improve operations, productivity, quality, and customer service standards • Identify trends, resolve issues, recommend and implement improvements • Participate in process improvement initiatives • Act as a business partner to organizational stakeholders • Maintain confidentiality of information • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician • High School Diploma or GED required • Active Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license • PTCB or NHA national certification • State-registered Pharmacy Technician status • Continued employment contingent upon meeting all applicable licensure and certification requirements • Solid computer skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to navigate the internet and web-based platforms • Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated through a pre-employment assessment • Must maintain confidentiality of information
