📋 Description

• Provide remote pharmacist services for Prairie Band Health Services • Process and verify outpatient prescriptions using VistA and CPRS • Review and complete pending outpatient prescriptions in VistA Outpatient Pharmacy • Perform clinical screening for allergies, drug-drug interactions, contraindications, and dose/directions appropriateness • Use CPRS to review relevant notes and laboratory results as needed • Appropriately disposition prescriptions, including electronic release to CMOP or suspension for local mail • Provide virtual pharmacist coverage seven days per week, Sunday through Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the applicable local time, including federal holidays • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as requested by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Pharmacists must be citizens of the United States • Graduate of a degree program in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college or university • Full current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia • Recent experience using VistA and CPRS to process and verify outpatient prescriptions • At least 12 months of cumulative VA outpatient prescription-processing experience within the past three years • VistA/CPRS outpatient prescription-processing experience within the last three years • Ability to perform outpatient prescription processing and verification upon start; training will not be provided • Familiarity with VA formulary and restrictions, including Prior Authorization requirements and criteria for use of non-formulary drugs • Ability to obtain clearance from the VISN 7 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Information Security Officer • Must meet applicable Tier 2 Indian Preference requirements under Title 22 of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Employment Code
