📋 Description

• Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals • Assist patients with managing pharmacy insurance claims • Support prior authorization requests and medication access with clinician offices • Research and secure financial assistance through foundations, manufacturers, and other funding sources • Use pharmacy operating systems to input data, adjudicate test claims, process refills, and develop follow-up action plans • Review prescriptions with physicians' offices • Communicate with patients by phone to support medication adherence and compliance • Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons to provide coordinated patient care • Document patient concerns, prior authorization status, and financial assistance needs across databases, EMRs, and email systems • Maintain accurate records of patient communications • Manage, organize, and update database information • Research and analyze information for strategic decision-making • Improve operations, productivity, quality, and customer service standards • Identify trends, resolve issues, recommend improvements, and implement changes • Participate in process improvement initiatives • Partner with stakeholders across the organization • Maintain confidentiality of information • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician • High School Diploma or GED required • Active State of Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license • PTCB or NHA national certification • Experienced, state-registered Pharmacy Technician • Commitment to obtaining additional required credentials within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe, if applicable • Continued employment contingent upon meeting all applicable licensure and certification requirements • Solid computer skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to navigate the internet and web-based platforms • Data entry and computer skills evaluated through a pre-employment assessment
