📋 Description

• Perform cost estimates for HV and MV electrical power systems • Develop detailed material takeoffs • Review client RFP documents to determine scope, schedule and design criteria • Review preliminary design drawings and documents • Assist in client bid evaluation phase, participating in cost reviews, RFI responses, etc. • Present cost estimates to department and company leadership • Compile and track historical bids and project execution costs for reference/use on future bids

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ Years’ Experience in cost estimating of Transmission Level Substations and Transmission Lines (13.8kV – 500 kV) • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Civil Engineering and/or related Engineering Technologies is preferred • Familiarity with reviewing preliminary substation and transmission line electrical drawings and calculations in order to generate cost estimates. • Codes and Standards: NEC, NFPA, NESC, OSHA, NERC, RUS, IEEE, ANSI, IEC, Local and Federal Building Codes • Good written and verbal communications skills. • Skilled in practice of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations. • Highly motivated and able to execute tasks independently.
