📋 Description

• Assist the Director with developing, implementing, and monitoring accounting systems, including payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing cards • Assist in managing the accounting department for all SIH entities • Support the integrity and accuracy of financial-related activity throughout SIH • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and distribution of financial statements and reports • Ensure required tax and other filings are completed correctly and on time • Identify income statement account variances and determine explanations or corrections • Support annual budget preparation and monitoring • Develop accounting applications to meet business needs • Collaborate with management, auditors, and others regarding accounting questions and variances • Provide leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining department operations and procedures • Maintain accurate electronic procedures • Review balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries for documentation and approvals • Serve as liaison for Accounting Managers and resolve issues, escalating to the Director as needed • Analyze accounts receivable and contractual accounts, including reserves • Support system-wide initiatives affecting accounting functions • Develop processes, disciplines, and guidelines to standardize best practices • Build cooperative relationships across functional boundaries • Balance SIH’s patient-care objectives with financial and operational needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required • 5 years of accounting experience required • 3 years of supervisory experience required • CPA preferred • Healthcare accounting experience preferred • Strong technical accounting knowledge • Experience with accounting systems and applications, including Workday, Symplr, Kodiak, and OSV • Ability to prepare and review financial statements, reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations • Knowledge of tax filings with the IRS, state government, and other governmental agencies • Ability to support budgeting and monitor annual budgets
