📋 Description

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced CT imaging procedures • Support onsite positioning technologists as needed • Assist positioning technologists in obtaining pertinent patient history and determining appropriate preparation and examinations • Train positioning technologists enrolled in the CT Pulse program • Oversee protocol selection, coverage, contrast bolus, and other exam aspects for assigned trainees • Act as clinical competency verification technologist for Pulse technologists • Check orders for complete information, proper examinations, and scheduling needs • Determine exam priority • Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs • Perform CT procedures involving ionizing radiation to detect pathology • Regulate equipment and develop and document PACS imaging • Operate equipment safely and maintain SimonMed standards, protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements • Troubleshoot systems and resolve image-processing and PACS issues • Establish professional relationships with employees, departments, and facility staff • Interact appropriately with patients, staff, and care providers • Provide excellent customer service and perform assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Certification by an appropriate Radiology/Medical Imaging body through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(CT) • Valid and active radiologic technologist license in assigned state(s) • Five (5) years of experience in Computed Tomography • Working knowledge of multiple system vendors • Competency in general and advanced imaging procedures • Ability to operate computers, radiographic equipment, CT scanners, and mechanical devices safely • Ability to perform QA and follow protocols, regulatory requirements, and departmental policies • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, with frequent standing and walking • Good visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity • Ability to work with multiple deadlines and priorities in a stressful, fast-paced environment • Employment contingent upon successful completion of drug and background screening • Some positions require a favorable driving record
