📋 Description

• Settle cargo claims with government/military, corporate, or consumer customers within 30 days of receipt • Manage customer expectations while thoroughly investigating claims • Review customer correspondence and client contract terms • Seek information from all parties involved • Assign repair firms to assess damages and complete repairs as needed while mitigating cost • Determine liability and charge back appropriate parties based on findings • Verify and investigate all aspects of claims • Maintain precise records to support approval or denial decisions • Instruct repair firms to provide inspection and repair reports • Assess claimed-item values and evaluate repair alternatives versus cash-out options • Distinguish pre-existing damage from transit-related damage • Review carrier liability and present settlement proposals to customers • Negotiate disputes regarding initial offers and finalize settlements • Complete various assigned projects

🎯 Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred • Minimum 1-3 years in Claims or Customer Service setting • Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills • Personal Computer experience required, including Microsoft Word and Excel • Must be organized and able to multi-task
