📋 Description

• Independently own and execute large-scale engineering projects across eligibility processing, identity, and client configuration systems • Design and build scalable backend architectures to support 50x data growth across Modern Health's platform • Partner with product managers and internal operations teams to define requirements, use cases, and edge cases for complex initiatives • Collaborate with a senior staff engineer to sequence and deliver against a multi-year growth engineering roadmap • Mentor and guide more junior engineers through technical leadership and code collaboration • Own and scale critical backend systems powering client launches and member access

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in backend software engineering • 8–15 years of experience in backend software engineering, with focus on Python (Django/Flask); staff-leveling • Experience leading complex, full-stack projects end-to-end independently • Experience designing scalable architectures handling large data growth (e.g., 50x) • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) • Strong cross-functional collaboration with product and operations stakeholders • Bachelor's degree preferred • Open to bootcamps and self-taught candidates • Remote work eligibility within the US, excluding Hawaii
