📋 Description

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activity • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, and other accounting activities • Review financial activity and investigate unusual transactions or variances • Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with GAAP • Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements by preparing schedules and supporting documentation • Partner with FP&A, People, Legal, Procurement, and other teams to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely • Help maintain and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual accounting processes • Support implementation and improvement of finance systems and workflows as Skylo scales • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment • CPA or progress toward CPA certification is nice to have • Experience at a high-growth technology company is nice to have • Experience with SaaS, telecommunications, hardware, or other technology businesses is nice to have • Experience with ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite is nice to have • Experience supporting audits and implementing accounting controls is nice to have • Experience working with international entities or global accounting operations is nice to have
