📋 Description

• Create detailed designs and fabrication plans using SketchUp • Translate project requirements into accurate and practical fabrication drawings • Review jobs and determine necessary materials, dimensions, specifications, and fabrication requirements • Review designs for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability • Revise designs based on project requirements and fabrication feedback • Organize and maintain design files and project documentation • Develop existing design concepts into production-ready plans • Identify potential design or fabrication issues before production • Utilize Mosaic and other relevant design or project-management software as required • Manage 3–4 commercial woodworking projects simultaneously • Track project progress and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met • Coordinate project transitions from design into fabrication • Communicate project specifications, changes, and requirements to factories and suppliers • Follow up on materials, fabrication requirements, and project-related items • Identify and proactively communicate potential delays or issues • Assist with project scheduling and administrative coordination • Determine required materials and components, and create and manage material orders • Coordinate with suppliers and factories regarding availability, specifications, timelines, and changes • Maintain project records, track status and action items, and organize information across design, fabrication, and installation • Take ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities without constant supervision

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience with SketchUp • Experience creating detailed drawings, plans, or designs for fabrication • Understanding of woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, or commercial fabrication processes • Strong ability to interpret measurements, dimensions, specifications, and project requirements • Experience coordinating projects or managing multiple projects simultaneously • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to communicate clearly with factories, suppliers, and production personnel • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities • Comfortable learning and working with multiple software systems • Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy • Preferred: experience in commercial woodworking, custom furniture, millwork, cabinetry, architectural woodworking, furniture fabrication, retail displays, commercial interiors, construction, manufacturing, CNC/fabrication environments, production planning, project coordination, procurement/material ordering, Mosaic, AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and other 3D modeling or fabrication software
