📋 Description

• Guide solar energy projects through their entire lifecycle, from initial concept to final completion • Coordinate planning, execution, commissioning, engineers, installers, clients, and vendors • Manage project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety standards • Coordinate project buyout, including negotiating and issuing subcontracts and purchase orders • Oversee pay requests, job cost reports, and total cost projection reports • Review and approve material orders and installation work plans • Manage vendor, subcontractor, owner, utility, and municipal relationships • Work on concurrent projects and meet deadlines • Prepare and manage project budgets, bid analyses, budget variance reports, and cost forecasts • Negotiate subcontractor agreements and material purchases • Interpret, write, and negotiate standard contract language • Ensure subcontractor adherence to contract specifications and performance expectations • Process Requests for Information and customer change order requests • Interface with public/private utility companies and municipal officials regarding design, contracts, plans, permits, and project execution • Hold weekly construction meetings with clients by phone or in person • Manage material submittal approvals and follow submittal protocol • Maintain project documentation and prepare project completion materials • Ensure safety procedures and meetings occur and are documented • Oversee project commissioning and final reporting

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience with solar/energy related projects OR bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record • Experience dealing with owner contracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work • Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with clients • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative solutions to complex challenges • OSHA 30 certificate
