📋 Description

• Build and maintain Slice's Internal Developer Platform • Create self-service tooling and automation to eliminate repetitive work and reduce operational overhead • Design and implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD • Improve the Kubernetes platform with reusable patterns, templates, and guardrails • Build internal applications and developer tooling in Python • Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • Use generative AI to build and maintain internal services, including agentic services • Improve observability using Datadog dashboards, metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting • Partner with product engineering teams to improve developer experience • Reduce cognitive load by standardizing workflows and automating infrastructure operations • Champion best practices around reliability, security, automation, and platform adoption • Enable faster, more reliable deployments and reduce infrastructure toil

🎯 Requirements

• Experience operating or building on Kubernetes • Understanding of modern cloud-native deployment patterns • Experience with GitOps principles and tools such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or similar • Strong automation skills and ability to write production-quality software, particularly in Python • Knowledge of reliability, observability, operational simplicity, monitoring, logging, metrics, and incident response • Clear and concise written and oral communication • Ability to define requirements in RFC/PRD documents or ticketing systems • Ability to partner with engineering teams and understand their pain points • Ownership of problems from discovery through implementation • Passion for building platforms, automation, and reducing complexity • Proficiency in the use of generative AI tools • Experience in product engineering is nice to have, not required
