• Code and abstract professional fee hospital services performed by SLPG physicians from medical records • Apply ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS II, AHA, AMA, and CMS guidelines • Utilize 3M Encoder to validate RVUs and CPT-4 procedure unbundling • Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate through quality reviews • Maintain daily productivity as outlined • Perform data entry of abstracted physician information into specialty-specific databases • Conduct educational sessions for medical staff on coding and documentation compliance • Work with Medical Records, Finance, and Physician Billing to ensure appropriate information flow • Assure data quality through quarterly reviews
• RHIA, RHIT, CPC, OR CCS-P with working knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding required • Minimum 1-3 years experience in CPT/HCPCS physician procedural coding • Previous experience with computerized patient record and coding system preferred • Ability to maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate • Ability to maintain daily productivity as outlined • Up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines for physician services, including hospital inpatient, observation, consultant, surgical, critical care, and E & M services • Sitting for up to seven hours per day, three-four at a time • Frequent typing and data entry using fingers and hands • Rarely lift up to ten pounds using upper extremities • Please complete the application using your full legal name and current home address • Include employment history for the past seven years, including present employer
