📋 Description

• Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction • Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field • Provide customer training as required • Document inspections, maintenance and repair work and submit paperwork promptly • Order, install and return parts; manage repair-parts cycle time • Review logs for open issues and prepare formal customer reports • Participate in service sales opportunities and revenue programs • Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment • Assess equipment performance using field-support data and recommend improvements • Provide technical support to customers and service professionals • Participate in site surveys, pilot service activities and meetings • Support company Trace and X-Ray technologies • Maintain clear oral and written business communication • Build relationships with senior Field Service Engineers and Product Managers • Control and minimize costs • Travel daily to customer locations in and around the Chicago Metro area, including ORD airport • Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree, related trade certification in electrical, electronic or mechanical fields, or military training in electrical, mechanical or electronics • Equivalence through 1–3 years of comparative work and life experience in a related electrical or mechanical field service role is acceptable • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field • Computer literacy and competency with all programs in the MS Office Suite • Aptitude for learning specialized software programs • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills • Strong customer focus and teamwork orientation • Must be responsive to customer issues • Must be willing and able to travel at short notice • SSI access and TSA vetting; successful federal background investigation required if applicable • U.S. Personal Security Clearance may be required • Ability to lift/carry 80 lbs • Ability to push/pull 200 lbs • Ability to move/manipulate equipment up to 1,000 lbs with assistance from appropriate devices • Ability to work safely in extreme environments and around dangerous industrial equipment • Must comply with applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
