📋 Description

• Troubleshoot, service, install, deploy, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites • Travel daily to locations in and around the Washington, DC area, including Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport • Maintain field service logs and job files • Conduct customer follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction • Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction • Communicate effectively with customers and foster positive customer relationships • Provide customer training as required • Respond to emergency and non-scheduled service calls • Complete scheduled maintenance within required deadlines • Document inspections, maintenance, and repair work and submit paperwork promptly • Order, install, and return parts and manage repair-parts cycle time • Maintain accurate inventories of parts and tools • Review logs for open issues and prepare formal customer reports • Participate in Service Sales opportunities and support revenue programs • Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment • Assess equipment performance using field-support data and recommend modifications or improvements • Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals • Participate in site surveys, pilot service programs, meetings, special projects, and report preparation as needed • Build relationships with senior Field Service Technicians and Product Managers to support customer needs and stay current with technical trends • Control and minimize costs while maximizing revenue • Submit expenses, time cards, and administrative documentation within specified timelines • Comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree, related trade certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical), or military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics • 1–3 years of equivalent related electrical or mechanical field service experience may substitute for education • 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment • Computer literacy and competency with all programs in the MS Office Suite • Aptitude for learning specialized software programs • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong customer focus and teamwork orientation • Willingness and ability to travel at short notice • Ability to respond to emergency and non-scheduled service calls within established response times • Must maintain current technical certifications • Must pass TSA vetting for Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access • Must successfully pass a federal background investigation • Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs • Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs • Must be able to move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with assistance from approved devices • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, and work in unusual positions • Ability to work safely in extreme environments and around dangerous industrial equipment • Must comply with U.S. export control and security regulations • Must be willing to work travel, overtime, and hours outside Monday–Friday when required
